January 15-20, 2006

Deltaville, VA

We finally moved out of our house and onto our boat.  Yes, this is two months later than originally planned a year ago... But, the momentum and our hearts are 200% into this trip so we're leaving in the middle of winter - not much fun on the Chesapeake Bay!  We'll make the most of it and enjoy ourselves.  it's cold and windy, but the weather is always something to deal with when sailing, no matter what season.

January 21-24, 2006 Deltaville to Portsmouth VA and Coinjock NC Underway at last - !  We get our first taste of the ICW and are relieved to be on the water and headed south.

January 25- Feb 5, 2006 Coinjock to Belhaven and then Beaufort NC Beautiful trip to Belhaven, followed by a not-so-nice day on the Neuse River in which we blew out our jib.  But, if you have to stay somewhere on the ICW for 10 days getting a new sail made, Beaufort NC is the place to be...

Feb 6 - Feb 22, 2006 Beaufort NC to St Augustine FL There's so much to cover that we divided it into three pages - and they're quite long pages.  Hopefully next time we won't wait so long to update!
1: Beaufort NC to Charleston SC
2: Charleston SC to Savannah GA
3: Savannah GA to St Augustine FL

Feb 23 - Mar 18, 2006 St Augustine to West Palm Beach, FL So nice to finally get to south Florida!  Blue water, temperatures in the 80s...  and - more boat work.

Mar 19 - Apr 20, 2006 West Palm Beach to Eleuthera, Bahamas Again, we're dividing this update into three segments - a lot of events and memories to cover
1: West Palm Beach to Nassau, New Providence
2: Nassau to Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera
3: Governor's Harbour, Eleuthera to Ten Bay, Eleuthera

Apr 21 - May 1, 2006 Eleuthera to the Exumas After our long stay in Eleuthera, we were anxious to move on and now have fell in love with the Exumas...

May 2 - May 12, 2006 More Exumas It's hard to believe that there are more beautiful places on earth than the cays of the Exumas (we didn't send out an e-mail about this update so don't miss it!)

May 13 - June 3, 2006 To Georgetown and  Back We were able to share the beauty of the Exumas with some friends and enjoy it a second time ourselves
